Jennie Griffiths with the three Champion littermates, all parents of the 2008 Karamynd CC winners.

2008 saw the kennel's 7th and 8th Champions made up.

"Lilac" won her 3rd CC at Scottish Breeds.  She is by Ch Karamynd High As A Kite ex Krisma Trouble In Mind at Karamynd.

"Freddie" won took 9CCs during the year to become Top Westie.  

He took his qualifying CCs at Birmingham National, Southern Counties and Border Union.  He also made Group#4 at SKC (August) and BIS at the Southern WHWT Club.

"Lydia" took 4 Reserve CCs before winning her first CC at City of Birmingham, doing the double with cousin Freddie (see photo right).

Both made up last year, Ch Bellevue Caught In The Act at Jillso and Ch Bellevue Spirit Catcher continued to win CCs.  "Spike" (owned by Alison Mellor) won 3 to take his total to 8, while "Spirit" (owned by Tina) also took his 3CCs to take his total to 6. Winning his first CC was Suzanne Macbean's Bellevue Going Dutch with Pryorvale.  

All go back to the kennel's UK/Irish Ch Bournehaven Birthday Guy (the year's Top Westie is by him) who sadly passed away in 2008.

Another kennel bred three CC winners in 2008...

Tina Squire

Two 2008 CC winners were bred by this French kennel.  Touch Of Class visiting from France was BOB at Crufts, owned by Julian Millasseau, while his son Candido took several Reserve CCs and his 1st CC & BOB at Leeds.  He was imported by Linda Minett (Duskhunter) and later left for New Zealand.

Comdale Curtain Call at Lizandycris won the first CC of the year at Manchester (his second), owned by Mesdames Carlin & Gillott.  His uncle, Ch Comdale Action Man won his 22nd CC & BIS at the WHWT Club making him the 3rd Top CC winner of all time.  The kennel also qualified three puppies for the Westie of the Year contest, Wistonant Anastasia of Comdale, Comdale Top Gun and Comdale Gossip Girl.

Mich Dale

At Scottish Breeds junior Lynnsto Mastercard took his first CC and at the May Scottish Kennel Club, his sire Lynnsto Pellam took his third CC to become the first Champion for Mich Dale.  Other Lynnsto exhibits winning well during the year were littermates, L Ultra Violet and L Stand And Deliver took Best Puppy awards at consecutive shows (Violet later took a Reserve CC), while Lamsmore Leckbuie at Lynnsto was BOB at Blackpool.
