Alco won 2CCs in 2005 and took his 3rd at
Manchester 2006 to become the breed's 800th UK
Champion. He began his show career in 2004 ending
the year as Top Puppy and is the 7th UK Champion for
the Kimgarwyn kennel and the first for sire and dam. He
is by K Apollo (a reserve CC winning former Top Puppy
and elder brother of last Kimgarwyn Champion, Night
Breeze) ex Lasara Lookat Me (a daughter of the
kennel's 5th Champion, Lasara Love Me Too). They
are linebred to Ch Olac Moon Pilot (sire of the first two
Kimgarwyn Champions) and the first Champion
daughter of Ch Ashgate Sinclair, Ch Lasara Latest
Addition. Alco is a grandson of the two most
successful stud dogs of recent times, Ch Ariostea Pilgrim
to Ashgate and Ch Krisma Streetwise.

Murphy took BIS at the WHWT Club and
North Of Ireland Club shows, then took his 3rd CC
at Crufts, then BOB and then third in the Group (the
last WHW to be placed in a group was Ch Vallange
Viking in 1996). Murphy is well travelled, holding titles
in Russia and several other countries. He gained his
Irish title in 2005 and now becomes only the 4th Westie
to go abroad and return to the UK and win 3CCs. He
becomes the 5th Havasu UK Champion for Ken and
Pamela Crockett. The 1st was Glenveagh Natasha at H
in 1994; then H Humber Lady in 2000; Charosmack
Cracked Ice over H and Havasu Hidden Treasure at
Thozow (owned by the Fosters), both last year. Murphy
is by a Charosmack bred son of Clog Dancer from a
grand daughter of Int Ch Ashgate Scotch Bard and
bred by J Jenkins who was at Crufts to see Murphy win.

Breeny becomes the 5th Karamynd Champion
after winning her 3rd CC at Crufts after two CCs
at Club shows in 2005, including BIS at the Southern.
She becomes the 5th UK Champion for her sire, Ch
Hopecharm Willie Makeit for Karamynd and the 2nd
for her dam, Hopecharm Full Of Deelite at Karamynd.
Her litter brother is Ch Karamynd High As A Kite, made
up in 2004 and two other sisters are winners. The
litter was linebred to the mating of Ch Ashgate Sinclair
and Hopecharm Full Of Promise which produced Deelite
and two CC winners including Willie Makeit's grandsire,
H Full Of Fire. Deelite was Top Brood Bitch last year
and Willie Makeit was the runner up to the Top Stud
Dog. He sired also the 2006 Crufts Best Puppy,
Charosmack Cause To Wonder.

At only the third Championship show of 2006
the 4th New Champion won her 3rd CC. Burneze
Just Anny Lusion at Lorbri becomes the 2nd
Champion for her owners, Brian and Lorraine Smith
and the 7th for the Burneze kennel of Marie and Ann
Burns. Peggy is by Irish Ch Burneze Maxamilion, from
Burneze I'm Annie Lusion JW. Maxamillion is the litter
brother of and I'm Annie Lusion is the daughter of Ch
Burneze Just Annie Lusion, the 2nd Burneze Champion.
The Lorbri kennel previously made up Juadsa Wired For
Sound and won a reserve CC recently with Killynether
Koko at Lorbri.
Peggy, now 4 and a half years, won two CCs at
consecutive Belfast shows in 2004 and 2005, with her
third CC, this time with BOB, at Scottish Breeds.

Judy, as she is known, won her three CCs in just
three entered shows, Birmingham National, Scottish
K C and Southern Counties. She made her debut in late
2004 winning a BP in early 2005 and later a reserve CC
at Belfast. She becomes the 4th Killynether Champion for
Pat Molony. The last was Ch Killynether Kavanagh made
up in 1997. Judy is the granddaughter of his litter sister,
Calypso, through her daughter, Killynether Keepsake. Also
in Judy's litter was Crufts BP and reserve CC winner, K
Koko at Lorbri, owned by the Smiths. Their sire is
Whynncraege Navajo, a son of Ch Haweswalton Apache
and Ch Whynncraege Sea Urchin, the last two Haweswalton
Champions. Apache also sired Kavanagh and Calypso. Mrs
Molony bred a Haweswalton Champion, Ryan, Top Westie
1991. His litter sister, Christabel is the dam of Kavanagh
and Calypso.

CHAMPION ASHGATE

Amy took her first two CCs in late 2005 and
won 6 reserves before getting her third at South
Wales. She is the 33rd Champion with Ashgate in the
name but the first owned and bred by Kathy Davis. She
becomes the 7th UK Champion for Italian import, the multi
titled Ariostea Pilgrim to A. This makes him the joint 6th
most successful sire of UK Champions, tying with his
ancestors, Ch Domaroy Saracen and the more distant, Ch
Hookwood Mentor. The leader is Ch Ashgate Sinclair with
19. Amy's dam is Ardelve Elliedaise by Ashgate. The pedigree
of Amaryllis is linebred to the littermates Ashgate Sinclair
and Ashgate Skerry who appear three times each. Also
within the pedigree are another son and daughter of their
dam, UK/Int Ch A Sallachy and a full sister of their sire, CC
winner German Ch A Lenzie. Amaryllis also has 5 Green
Stars won in Ireland over the summer of 2005.
Neave took all her CCs this year, after a successful
puppy career in 2005 winning 4 BP and a puppy Terrier
group. She gained her title at only 20 months becoming the
5th Lamsmore Champion for Sandra Sizmore. She is the
first Champion for both parents, UK/Int Ch Ashgate Scot's
Progress and L Floraness, a daughter of the 3rd Champion,
Ashgate Iolaire of L (now in Spain). They are connected by
several of Ashgate breeding. Both are grandchildren of Ch
Ashgate Ivanhoe, but have several links to littermates, Ch A
Sinclair and A Skerry. Neave's litter sister, Esha lives in
Ireland and has her title there. A younger brother, Leckbuie
at Lynnsto won 2 BP awards. Previous Lamsmore Champions
include Bella Noch at Rosquin and Ashgate Sassy (both by
Ivanhoe, also sire of Iolaire). The lastest was Pilgrim daughter,
Miss Brodie who has titles in Ireland and in Europe and has a
Reserve CC winning daughter by Ivanhoe, Miss Bridie.

Blake took his title at Bournemouth after CCs
at Darlington 2005 and BIS at the joint Centenary
show of the two oldest WHWT Clubs in June. Along the
way he picked up 7 reserve CCs and becomes the second
Champion for his owner, Joe Magri. Handled to many of his
wins by Daniel Marsden, Blake was bred by the Bartletts
and becomes their first Champion. He is by Mr Magri's 1st
Champion, Newtonglen Covenanter of Rozamie ex Lasara
Love Me Do with Dwilencia, becoming their first Champion
too. The pair are not closely related, linked only by some
distant Haweswalton breeding. Love Me Do's litter sister is
Ch Lasara Love Me Too, granddam of 2006's first new
Champion, Kimgarwyn Alco. Both Lasara girls produced
several winners in their litters.
Blake's son, Rozamie Billy Baloo already has a reserve CC
under his belt.

Winning her third CC within a year, Clanestar
Cloud Dancer or "Georgie" took BIS at the North of
Ireland Club show after a reserve CC the day before at
Belfast. She becomes the 7th Clanestar Champion for
Doreen Lancaster, one of 5 homebred. Georgie becomes the
first Champion for sire, Ch Kristajen Casterspell and
Clanestar Cydney, a daughter of his dual CC winning sister, K
Carefree Spirit with Clanestar, by Ch Krisma Streetwise.
Georgie descends from one previous Clanestar Champion,
Count of Kristajen, made up in 1987 through his influential
son, Ch Kristajen Charterman, who sired two Clanestar title
holders and three others in the UK. Mrs Lancaster is
currently showing a bitch with one CC, also by Casterspell
from a Carefree Spirit daughter, the last Clanestar Champion,
Careless Spirit made up in 2002. Carefree Spirit is also the
dam of JW winner, Clanestar Cinnamon.
