Vallange Forget Me Not became the 1st new
UK Champion of 2005, after 2CCs in 2004. She
is the 15th UK Vallange Champion for
owners/breeders, Keith and Shane Harris, the first for
parents, Canadian Ch Kilowna Kentucky Hero by
Vallange and Ch Vallange Spirit Of Love. They both
descend from a son and daughter of Ch Ashgate
Sinclair and Ashgate Bleaval of Fernforest, a mating
that produced 4 UK Champions, numerous overseas
Champions and successful brood bitches.
Hero is by Ch V Victorious, while Spirit is from
reserve CC winner, V Christmas Cracker, so are full
cousins. Hero is a grandson of another Sinclair
Champion, Kilowna Kentucky Dream.

Night Breeze took her third CC at Scottish
Breeds becoming her owners' 6th UK Champion.
Brian and Margaret Squire made up their first
Champion in 1991, Kimgarwyn Marksman. Fizz
descends from his elder sister, the 2nd Champion,
Madelin, through her son, Ch K Cagney. Fizz's sire is
last year's Top Terrier Stud Dog, the multi titled, Ariostea
Pilgrim to Ashgate and her dam is Cagney daughter, K
Lucky Charm. A previous litter produced Kimgarwyn
Apollo, a reserve CC winning former Top Puppy and
2004's Top Sire. Fizz becomes the 4th Champion for
Pilgrim. He and Charm are linked by Ch Ashgate Sinclair
and Ch Olac Moon Pilot (sire of Marksman and Madelin).
Fizz made her debut in late 2003, her 1st CC at Leeds
2004 and a 2nd with BOB at Midland Counties and
gained her title a couple of weeks past her 2nd birthday.
After a CC at her local show in 2003,
Cracked Ice took BOB at the National Terrier
and her 3rd CC at Birmingham National 2005.
Tula becomes the third UK Havasu Champion for the
Crocketts, after Glenveagh Natasha at H (1994) and
H Humber Lady (2000). She was bred by Roz Dunne
(becoming the 5th Charosmack Champion) from the
first litter of last years Top Westie, Ch Charosmack
Clear Dreams, by Ch Krisma Streetwise (his 5th UK
Champion). Clear Dreams and Streetwise are
vaguely linked in their pedigrees through some
Haweswalton breeding by brother and sister,
Ch Haweswalton Mr Volvo and Canadian Ch
Haweswalton Call Me Madam, offspring of Ch
Domaroy Saracen.

Inverglen Celtic Raider took his third CC &
BOB at the May Scottish K C, after a 2nd CC at
Scottish Breeds and BIS at 2004s N of I WHWT Club
show. He is the 4th UK Champion for the Inverglen
kennel of Ken and Wendy Corri. He is a great great
grandson of the first, Ch Cabon Sea Lord (1991). The
others were Ch Cabon Time Lord of Inverglen (1995, a
son of Ch Olac Moon Pilot) and Ch Inverglen Solitaire
(2002). Raider is the grandson of Solitaire's dam,
Countess of Inverglen. He becomes the 5th UK
Champion for Ch Ariostea Pilgrim to Ashgate.
Pilgrim and Raider's dam, I Springtime are vaguely
linked through some Domaroy and Ashgate breeding.
Raider sired his first Best Puppy winner last year,
Winoski Midsummer Melody at Flassendale.
Cool Secret or "Lilly" took three CCs in three
straight shows to become the second Charosmack
Champion of the year and the sixth overall. She is
linked to Cracked Ice by their grandsire, Ch Clog
Dancer and is a daughter of the first Champion, group
winner, Olton Aye Cloudy Day at Charosmack. Her
sire, Ch Davot Chivalrous Chap was made up earlier
this year. Chap and Cloudy Day are linked through
Clog Dancer's Olton dam; the common ancestor being
reserve CC winner, Jaeva Aye Gent at Olton, a son of
the other Olton UK Champion, Haweswalton Aye
Buster at Olton. Lilly's litter brother is already an
American Champion. Cool Secret took her 4th CC
at Leeds and followed her mother's footsteps by
winning the group. Five Charosmack Champions have
now been placed in the Terrier group.

Chivalrous Chap or "Jack" took his 3rd CC at
Southern Counties, after two CCs in the summer
of 2004 at Paignton and the August Scottish K C.
He becomes the 2nd Champion for the Davot kennel
of Dave and Dot Dingley. An elder sister is reserve
CC winner, D Chy Anne. They are by
UK/German/American Ch Charosmack Clog Dancer
(his 3rd UK Champion) from CC winner, Palubriken
Chime Of Freedom via Davot. She is by Ch Vallange
Victorious whose granddaughter was the 1st Champion
of 2005. Her dam is by Lasara Look Sharpe who sired
the first Davot Champion, Chapter And Verse.
Jack has already made his mark as a sire with
American Ch Charosmack Charizma and Charosmack
Cool Secret winning well for him (scroll down for more
on her).
"Ben" made his debut at 2004's National
Terrier winning BP. He took two more BP awards
during 2004. At the same show in 2005, he took his
first CC. He was later BOB at Bath and his third at
Windsor. He is the first UK Champion for his
owners/breeders, Steve and Denise Jennings, although
Ben's sister, Comdale Sea Breeze recently gained her US
title. They are by Ch Ashgate Sinclair and Ben is his 19th
UK Champion. Ben's dam is Comdale Classic, a daughter
of Int Ch Ariostea Pilgrim to A (a Sinclair great great
grandson, Ben is his first UK Champion grandchild) from
a Sinclair daughter, Comdale Grand Cassata, a Crufts first
prize winner. Ben continued his winning ways through the
year to become Top Westie. His litter sister, She's The
One produced 2005 BP winner, C Prizefighter to a Pilgrim
son, Ch Ashgate Scot's Progress.
Miss Brodie took her first CC in 2003
as a junior in Manchester becoming her sire's
first CC winner. By Paignton 2005 she became
his 6th UK Champion. She is owned by Mrs
Sandra Sizmore, becoming her 4th UK Champion
and the first owner bred, following Ch Bella Noch at
Rosquin (owned by the Quinns), Ch Ashgate Sassy
and Ch Ashgate Iolaire of Lamsmore. Her sire,
UK/Int Ch Ariostea Pilgrim to Ashgate, now has
three Champions to Sinclair daughters, Miss Brodie's
dam is Beinn Mh'or of Lamsmore. Miss Brodie took
her Irish title last summer and has since won her
International title on the continent. Her first litter to
Ch Ashgate Ivanhoe produced a first prize winner,
Lamsmore Miss Bridie.

"Pip" made her debut early in 2004, winning
a reserve CC from junior in the summer. In
2005 she took her 3CCs at the of England show,
Bath and East of England (with BOB) by the age of
two years. She becomes the 1st Champion for Beryl
Bourn who has the Kelishjen affix and the 6th for the
Krisma kennel. She becomes the 6th UK Champion
for her sire, Streetwise, from Bellevue Casual Fling,
a grand-daughter of Ch Bournehaven Birthday Guy
and a great granddaughter of Streetwise's sire, Ch
Wesscots One Knight Stand. Mrs Bourn previously
owned a CC winner, Kelishjen Kazia who was by
Streetwise's half brother, City Slicker. Town Flirt's
litter brother is first prize winner, Krisma Street
Cred, owned by Steve Owen (Egremont).

CHAMPION/INT CH ASHGATE AROS

After winning titles on the continent, Aros
returned home late last year and took BOB at
the first show of 2005, Manchester, then Leeds
and City of Birmingham to become the 30th owned
or bred Ashgate Champion. He is a first Champion
for his sire, RCC winning, Gilbri Second Edition, a
younger full brother of Ch G Wayward Lad. Also, for
his dam, A Awlabahtit, a full sister of Ch A Iolaire of
Lamsmore. She is also dam of reserve CC winner,
Blandsgill Skara of Ashgate, who is by Pilgrim.
Second Edition and Awlabahtit are linked in their
pedigrees by Ch Ashgate Sheigra, the great granddam
of Sinclair. Aros is only the 3rd UK Champion to
have gained titles abroad, then returned to his home
country. The others were Spanish/UK Grierson Fancy
and Dutch/UK Ch Lasara Lots Of Fun back in the 70s.

"Eire" won her first CC at Driffield 2004, then
BOB at Southern Counties and a crowning third at
Darlington to become the first Champion for her owners.
The Fosters have previously won well with homebreds;
Thozow Bit Of Mischief won 2CCs; his sister, T Princess
Mistletoe took 2RCCs and her daughter, T Shining Jewel
won a CC too. Eire is a second homebred Champion for the
Havasu kennel and 4th overall. She is the 2nd UK
Champion for her sire, Irish/UK Ch Glenveagh Mr Music
Man and 1st for dam, Havasu Honesty, daughter of Irish/
UK/Danish Ch Havasu Humber Lady.
Eire's first litter produced Best Puppy winner, Thozow Bit
Of Trouble, by Ch Newtonglen Covenanter of Rozamie who
has been consistently placed at the shows this year.
CHAMPION HOPECHARM GIRL

Exactly a year after winning her first CC, Hopecharm
Girl Hona Mission took her 3rd at the Centenary show of
the WHWT Club. "Shirl" is owned and bred by Shauna
Fryer, the 3rd Hopecharm Champion and took all her
qualifying CCs at Club shows. She becomes the 4th
UK Champion for sire, Ch Hopecharm Willie Makeit for
Karamynd and first for dam, Westfire City Girl at H, a Ch
Ashgate Sinclair daughter. The Hopecharms were founded
on a Famecheck bitch, whose daughter, H Full Of Love and
her daughter, H Full Of Promise are behind all the current
Hopecharms. The first Champion was H's On A Promise, from
Full Of Promise by an Ashgate dog. Willie Makeit is a
grandson of CC winner, H Full Of Fire, by Sinclair ex Full Of
Promise. A repeat of that mating produced H Full Of Deelite
for Karamynd (dam of both Karamynd CC winners and Top
Brood in 2005) and CC winner, Hopecharm Promise Kept.
