1970s

Parker made his debut in .. winning Best Puppy at .... in 2014.  His sister, Bubble And Squeak, was also a first prize winner.  Their dam, Pocket Rocket, was from the last litter sired by Ch Krisma Streetwise, sire of 12 UK Champions.  Her dam is CC winner, Lilmill Giv Me Your Answer Do.  Giv Me Your Answer Do links to the first Lilmill Champion, What's It All About.  They are both by Kyntilly Just The Measure and from litter sisters who are linebred to a bitch called Bellevue Maree to Ashgate, a daughter of the first Bellevue Champion, Mac Hars of Bellevue.  Parker's sire, Going Dutch also sired Ch Duskhunter Double Dutch and Ch Clanestar Cloud Chaser.  

What's It All About or "Alfie" was the first showdog from the first litter bred by Tony and David.  Alfie won his title in .... and a Terrier Group at .....

Not closely related, Carrie's parents hold several lines to different kennel's breeding.

Cody's background

Dude was bred by Ken Crockett and handled by him to his Irish title.  A son of Russian/UK/Irish Ch Markstown Mr Havasu and UK/Irish Ch Havasu Hoi Poloi, Dude was Top Stud 2014 due to the CC wins of Cody, Ch Brychdyn Diamond Geezer and Ch Brychdyn Carrie On Swifdon.  In 2015, three of his offspring have won CCs and two more have won Best Puppy awards.  

Celesta won 3 Reserve CCs in her show career during 2010 and 2011.  In the litter to Dude was also Best Puppy and Reserve CC winner, Crinan Calista.  Celesta is by Ch Karamynd High As A Kite, sire of three UK Champions, including Celesta's elder sister Ch Crinan Come Fly With Me, who won her title in 2008.  Their dam is Crinan Charlies Angel, a daughter of Dutch import Llasara All Rite at Charosmack from Charosmack Crime Story by Crinan, a daughter of Crinan Cutabove, a son of Crinan Champions, Clan Crinan and Crinan Cradle Song.  Charlies Angel's other litter produced another Reserve CC winner Crinan Cwiet Riot, by Ch Ashgate Sinclair.  Crime Story's daughter, Crinan Celtic Music won a CC in 2000, while Music's granddaughter, Corwena won a CC in 2004 (by Cutabove).

Candida won her UK title in 1975, handled by Geoff Corish becoming the first Crinan Champion.  A litter to Ch Heath of Backmuir produced 1979 CC winner Crinan Christiana.  

 

 

 

 

Also winning a CC in 1978 (and several Reserves) was Arnholme Arrogance of Crinan, bred by Doris Parr and by Mrs Hands' first Westie, Woodpuddle Becket.  Frosty's dam was Admiration of Arnholme, bred from two Famechecks and also produced Ch Arnholme Ad-Lib, owned by Angus Gordon.

 

 

 

 

At Crufts 1979, Lochclae Remus won BOB at Crufts.  He was co-owned by Mrs Hands and his breeder, Mrs Clay.  He was a son of Arnholme Arrogance of Crinan ex a full sister of Candida, Lochclae Miss Solitaire.

Britta won several Best Puppy awards in 1982 and her title during 1983.  Her sire was a son of Swedish visitor, Tweed Tartan Caledonier, the first Scandinavian Westie to win a UK title.  Just William was owned by Geoff Corish and bred by Betty Grieve.  He sired 4 UK Champions.   Celtic Ayre was a daughter of Christiana by a Famecheck dog, the litter brother of Ch Famecheck Specialist.  Britta's two litters both produced winners.

Lanny was the younger brother of Britta and became the Top Puppy of 1984 and the Top Westie of 1985.  The most successful Crinan and the only male Champion before Cody, Lanny won 17CCs during his show career, including the Terrier Group at LKA 1984, BOB at Crufts 1985 and Reserve Best in Show at Scottish Breeds 1985.  He sired 6 UK Champions and two daughters with two CCs, plus many Champions overseas.

 

 

 

 

Champion Crinan Celtic Melody

Melody's dam was a Reserve CC winning daughter of Celtic Song, by a son of Arnholme Arrogance.  Melody won all three of her CCs in 1990.  A younger full sister was Reserve CC winner, Crinan Carolina Moon.  

 

 

 

 

Champion Crinan Cradle Song

Cradle Song won her first CC in 1988 and her next two in 1990.  Smart Alec and Britta were linked by Ch Famecheck Extra Special.  All her litters were to Ch Clan Crinan and produced several Best Puppy winners and American Champions.

 

 

 

 

In 2000, Crinan Celtic Music won a CC & BOB at Bath.  She was from a half brother/sister mating to Crinan Cutabove, Lanny and Cradle Song's son.  Her sire was Crinan Command Performance (a grandson of Carolina Moon) and dam, Charosmack Crime Story by Crinan.

 

 

 

 

Crinan Corwena won a CC at the 2004 WHWT Club of England.  She was by Cutabove from his great granddaughter, Crinan Caledonia, a daughter of Celtic Music sired by the last Famecheck Champion, Hopeful Quest.

Champion Crinan Code Name Westlake

Cody becomes the latest Westlake and Crinan Champion.  His litter sister, Calista is a Reserve CC winner and in her first litter produced Crinan Carousel, co-owned with Crinan and Westlake.  She is by Ch Flassendale Fairlie, who distantly descends from Ch Clan Crinan.  

The Westlake foundation bitch was Highstile Penny, a daughter of Ch Domaroy Saracen and younger full sister of Ch Highstile Paladin, who sired the first Pepabby Champion, Poacher.  Penny was bred by Mr and Mrs Bertram and won a CC in 1986.  The Highstile kennel produced six UK Champions between 1967 and 1983.  Highstile dogs provided the foundation for the Pepabby kennel.

Penny had two litters to Ch Clan Crinan, whose dam's line goes back to a Highstile bitch.  In the second litter was Westlake Dan Marino who became a Champion in 1993, winning 4CCs.

 

 

 

In the first litter Penny produced a daughter called Westlake Prima Donna.  Her daughter, String Of Pearls, when mated back to Clan Crinan produced Ch Westlake Pearly Queen who won her title in 1999.
